The award winning quartet faturing co-leaders Joe Locke and Geoffrey Keezer with Terreon Gully (drums and Mike Pope (bass), that's about to release their first studio album in Spring 2012, now has
a dedicated microsite to keep fans and the media in the loop. Since their highly praised debut disc "Live In Seattle" (Origin, 2005), recorded at the 2004 Ballard Festival, the band has been keen to go into the studio with some new material. To target an international promoter and venue scene, including print and online press, this microsite will compress all up-to-date information about the upcoming release, coverage and availability:

Building a CMS driven eCommerce site, with only basic pre-coded application assets, is not exactly a web designer's dream project.
Far too many tiny components make up the fragile functionality. But the challenge was self chosen and turned into a satisfying learning experience. After a few weeks of sweating over shipping calculators and nested if-conditions, we have finally launched this new store for Jazz artist
Joe Locke, providing him with a new channel to distribute and present his original music, CDs, downloads and digital
charts... Visit

In time for the long awaited release of Brad and Elliot Mason's debut album "Two Sides, One Story" (Archival Records, 2010), their website received a gentle visual refresh to bring it inline with the design of the album. As things go, once the sleeves are rolled up and a certain amount of code edits are being tackled, other optimisations are suddenly on the radar. The tour calendar is now beimg maintained through GigPress, a fantastic WordPress plugin for artists and agencies. A more major addition to the site is the new web store - a simple solution to sell "Two Sides, One Story" as CD or download directly through the website.
Supporting their long awaited third album, "VIA" - which will be released on Origin Records in April 2011 - the Storms/Nocturnes Trio now have
a dedicated website to promote a steaming amount of activity in 2011 and beyond.
Joe Locke, Tim Garland and Geoffrey Keezer have finally found time in the busy schedules to reunite after seven years and perform and record new music. The purity of their sound has now been
further enriched by a mature warmth and the selfassurance of three
instrumental masters on the very top of their game, who know exactly where they come from, and who are still excited about where their music
will take them.
We've been working with Tommy Smith - the Scottish saxophonist/composer, orchestra director and educator - for over five years now. And while the look and feel of his original website was still an ideal a promotional backdrop for his various musical projects, the desire to transfer edditional control over to the artist, allowing for more immediacy and social media connectivity made a website refresh inevitable. The backend utilises WordPress as a basic CMS, while the core pages are still independent from a theme or template driven setup.
It was a very particular challenge to get Gary Husband's new website on its way, because for the first time we couldn't replace anything existing. So, time wasn't on our side.
Joe Locke's website has been one of our key projects ever since its first re-design and nadworks-treatment went live in early 2006.
Here's
one we should have made earlier:
Neil Percy, Principal Percussionist at the London Symphony Orchestra and Head of Timpani and Percussion at the Royal Academy of Music (and breath!)
is far too high in demand to make do without a web presence.
Like
many other creative agencies, we wanted to provide our clients with a fixed
place to go in order to check on the progress of their projects, download
artwork files and review scoped layouts. Et voilá - here's the
Creative
Dashboard. It will allow each of our clients to log into their own job bag
and and - hopefully - find all about the status quo of live and previous creative work.
This
began as a compact idea, a small little side project during one of the busiest times of the year
at Lateral Group. Yet, it turned into a full blown labour of passion and enthusiasm,
driven by Nick Dixon.
