Mike Balter and Joe Locke commissioned this full page advert for the PASIC 2012 programme magazine. The Percussive Arts Society 2012 Convention in Austin, Texas will featureĀ Joe Locke heavily on three key levels: the companies Mike Balter Mallets, Malletech who Locke endorses, and a headlining concert by The Joe Locke / Geoffrey Keezer Group on the main stage on Friday, November 1st.

Ahead of official concert sales, the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra is allowing audiences to purchase tickets at a 10% discount. The cards are being handed out at gigs and other events and – in this case – help to promote other orchestra activities at the same time, such as the Tommy Smith Youth Jazz Orchestra‘s 10 year anniversary tour.

Completing the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra‘s promotional concert package, the Duke Ellington series gets its concert programme, which will be handed out to audiences on the nights. We attempted a faded, aged look, continuing the theme of red and gold that was already used in the Marketing campaign.

Tommy Smith’s highly successful recording “Karma” (Spartacus Records, 2011) is taking him on tour again in the 4th quarter of this year. The concerts will be supported by a poster and postcard campaign in Scotland, with a promo email to follow.

The October 2012 issue of US Magazine JazzTimes will feature the first in a line of adverts we’ve designed for Mike Balter Mallets as part of vibes player Joe Locke’s endorsement contract.

In collaboration with London photographer Eric Richmond, we developed a concept that features the artist and his tools alike, borrowing associations from an organic, decorative and minimalistic ambiance.
