Based on my own single-camera video footage of Joe Locke‘s recent concert with Tommy Smith (feat. Alyn Cosker, Steve Hamilton and Mario Caribé) at the Royal Conservatoire in Glasgow, I felt obliged to experiment with overlaid pans and zooms to fake a multi can setup.Considering the shaky camera work as a well thought out feature, rather than an unwanted side effect of shooting from the hip (which in fact it was), the result is what it is: a sweet little experiment, which worked as intended, but would have done the sensational tune much more justice if the sound had come from tape.
